Born to Lie is the single that is released in advance of the full-length album Automation Baby by British synthpop band Mesh.

Born to Lie contains 4 versions of the single “Born to Lie”: the original, the club version, a Rotersand remix and a Blitzmaschine remix, as well as the song “Blackdog”.

“Born to Lie” is a catchy, up-tempo party song, while “Blackdog” is a melancholic, slower track. The single Born to Lie makes me curious for the full release of Automation Baby.

Even though the three remixes of “Born to Lie” contain a lot of variation, the chorus is left untouched – there would be potential in chopping and splitting and remixes parts there too. As a result, the 4 versions of the same track on the single feels a little too much of the same.
