In 2005, marked the 3rd release from the German-based one man electro-pop act “Wave In Head”. The man behind the name is Michael Pohl. The album is entitled “For a Special Moment”. Soft synths combined with excellent vocals, meet head-on with very well written songs. Some of the words are in German however; the beautiful array of words still transcends and transmits itself into the english-speaking world as well. The title track “For a Special Moment” epitomizes the soulful sound of the album itself. This 2-disc set is packed with a solid flock of songs and some robust remixes. The most impressive element of the album is that it has it’s own brand of uniqueness to it. There is not imitating going on here, just Michael’s own impressive brand of synthpop. Songs like “Because of You”, “Hate To Be In Love” and “Little Things” affirm this idea and make the album nothing short of impressive. There is little doubt that this album would not just be in your CD collection, but in your regular rotation as well.
