Popaganda 1 was released in 2001, but this is a compilation that is popping even now in the summer of 2002. The CD includes club- ready electronic songs that sure will get you moving. I was quite pleased with the selection of bands and songs. There were bands that have been making music for awhile, and song newcomers to the scene. Songs that were powerful to the mix included "300 Hours" by Anything Box, a highly melodic song, with bouncy beat. "300 Hours," is a well- developed song by the band. The band called Soviet has been popping up on a lot of compilations. The have given us many strong songs, and this is just one of them. A definite band to follow. De/Vision serves up a track called "call my name", which some of you may know. This is a B side-track that brings in some of the past with the new. One of my favorite songs comes from Goteki, Flight of the Saucerman, and it is a remix too. Very interesting vocals indeed, with excellent EMB beat, with a spacey twist. The last track by the band Goodbye July called Embrace was a ravers delight. The song contained excellent dance beats that were smooth and uplifting for any dancefloor. Electrosqaud added "Kylie", which give the CD some more power. Overall, a good compilation if your into electro, and synthpop. Don't forgot about Carol Master's contribution to this compilation!
