Blind Before Dawn has been working hard really finding their own style of synthpop music. The band creates upbeat electronic tracks, with a touch of downward progressions. These progressions are thick and penetrating sequences that round out their style. The vocals have strong feel, and are highly melodic. The vocals work well with the downward progressions, which are a definite highlight in the track "Happiness". The progressions really give it a more bubbly sound that pops in from time to time. "Happiness" has a great dance feel along with atmospheric synths. "Sensory", has a darker feel, and the vocals also reflect that. This song also has a dance feel for a club. I feel that this track is the real highlight, sort of like saving the best for last. The synths during "Sensory"whirl about, and creates a mood and atmosphere. This song also adds a touch of guitar, which had a nice presence to the song. "Far Away" (Close Mix) was another well -developed song by the band. It had a little more edge then the other songs, and blazing sytnhs that sort of had like a siren like feel that caught your attention. "Without You," mixed well as the next track after "Far Away". I liked the more bass feel underneath the drum programming. This is definitely a band to keep tabs on as they progress with their music.
