Elektrodelica is definitely the definitive Anything Box album. It is the "Sergeant Pepper" album of their impressive collective. If you were expecting another virtue titled release to follow previous albums "Peace", "Worth", and "Hope"; then Over a decade after first hearing it, Elektrodelica still sounds very much ahead of its time. The musings are perfect. The lyrics are brilliant. Going in to the studio; the band set no limits for the album..."Anything Goes" was the ethos for Claude, Paul, and company.... And indeed anything went... The end result??? Pure Bliss. You don't have to listen all that closely to hear the Kraftwerk and Beatles influence; or perhaps the punk influence of "45"... This is not however a carbon copy or a cheap imitation from music's past... It is very much that of the future. Elektrodelica jumps out at you from many impressive angles but somehow tie together perfectly. It is done in a way that only Anything box can deliver. The ABOX way!!
