Artist: Tribal Machine CD Title-The Orwellian Night Label: Lamina Dereves Productions Reviewer: Peter Cooper Date: 6-17-10
Tribal Machine’s The Orwellian Night is an awesome concept album in telling George Orwell’s 1984. By now, readers probably know that I’m not a fan of electronica, and so I’m not crazy about the actual music; however, the ideas and themes in the album cancel out my negativity towards the synths ect. Anyone who has read 1984, distrusts the U.S. government or any government of their country/state, distrusts census workers, distrusts politicians in general ect. needs to listen to this album. It won’t make sense unless you are politically aware, have read 1984 and are privy to how politicians thrive on control of all sorts on its citizens. I recommend this album to anyone who fits this description. 5/5 Check out the band: www.tribalmachine.com Pete Cooper- www.facebook.com/pages/Peter-Cooper-Band/103553261084 |
