"How To Destroy Angels" and/or my own personal title: How to construct a great song. The stand out quality of this new CD is, the absolutely magnificent musical construction of each and every song on their CD. The new band featuring Mariqueen Maandig, Trent Reznor, and Atticus Ross are releasing their debut EP as a free download on June 1st. track, The EP will be released on CD July 6th, with a vinyl release TBA. It is a rare pleasure to hear an unknown group present their first effort as a finely polished diamond. My first impression was great song construction, dynamics, placement of unusual and edgy sounds, almost unmusical but still having a natural placement with in each song. The songs immediately capture your ears attention making you wonder what will happen next, this is an audio adventure, then they build more accordingly. Not surprising to find Trent Reznor, founder of the Nine Inch Nails, is the man behind the curtain on this CD. Every cut on this CD is more than worth the price. Tell your friends about this one, I did.

The Space In Between

This song creates visions of an unknown very dark space, some bits and moments reminded me a little of Depeche Mode. The texture is steely hard yet soft ,the vocal contrast sets the mood, and I found myself wanting to follow it where ever it went.

Fur-Lined

I absolutely love the bass line in this song, the musical and non-musical spinning and weaving mix is masterly. Trance like in nature.... hard not to get up and dance to it. To lightly quote P!NK ....Get your next party started with this one.

BBB

My personal fave, the drum and whip sounds and rhythms are just the beginning of the cornucopia for your electronic feasting. "Listen to the sounds of my Big Black Boots" will resound in your head like the first time you heard "I love you" from the one you wanted to say it.
