Tombstoned, hailing from Helsinki, have released their debut album. Deeply rooted in rocking old-school doom, Tombstoned seems to fit perfectly in the current revival trend of old-school doom bands.

Borrowing from 70s psychedelia and deeply infused with stoner elements, Tombstoned bring high-quality doom. The album sounds warm and vintage and brings us very enjoyable doom-laden heavy rock and roll. Think Neil Young meets Black Sabbath and some Candlemass. The vocals invoke rock legends Ozzy, Robert Smith and Lemmy.

The tempo slowly goes down throughout the album. From the speedier (well, in doom-terms, that is) “Through Days”, the album slows down until the tomb-crushing heavy “Last Waltz”.

The second track of the album “Daze of Disintegration” is a solid piece of heavy stoner rock: spaced out riffs and soundpatterns over a layers of heavy sadness: something every stoner fan will listen to many times.

Even though the current wave of old-school doom bands and 70s inspired psychedelic bands might be getting to a point of incessant repetition, Tombstoned have found the intersection of these two trends, and play some really good stuff.
