After the release of the single Beer and Ribs, Falcon are back with their full CD Frontier. Even though this record packs 44 minutes of over-the-top cheesy AOR, it has a catchy quality that you can't deny.

Falcon have released their first record, but they used to perform (and still on and off perform as) Circle, one of the leading bands of the Finnish underground. With Falcon, these gentlemen deliver their music to the masses.

A full CD of 44 minutes of soft rock filled with cliches might be a bit too much of it, but just because Falcon are so over the top, I find myself smiling here and there and the recognition of some popular soft rock songs and how they are enlarged to a grotesque act on Frontier.

If you were thinking that Falcon take themselves seriously, then you haven't seen the titles of some of the tracks on Frontier yet: “Vegas Sundown”, “Leather Seat” or “Miami Tits”... to name a few very original contributions on this record.

Ektro Records describes the music of Falcon as the soundtrack to “heading out on the highway with the top down and the sun in your eyes and the wind in your hair”, as well as a band that delivers “unapologetically populist arena-sized sounds beamed in from outer space”.
