Excellent release from the Australian blackened death horde Grenade! This is dirty, raw and will rip your head off! These guys formed back in 1998 and after a few demos and 7” EP’s they finally released their first full-length album, “The Howling Damned” just this year. Included on this album are the “Venom of God” and “Hell Song” 7” EP’s. This is eight tracks of really good old school death metal reminiscent of Nunslaughter, Asphyx, and Hellhammer. Nygil (guitar, vocals) split ways with the rest of the band shortly before this album was released. He will carry on the name with a new band and hopefully soon! This album is definitely worth picking up. The Australian metal scene is really putting out some killer stuff these days. If you haven’t heard Grenade yet, you’re really missing out!
