“This a best of from this long running South African gothic rock act. They seem to be obtaining long overdue attention from both parts of the Atlantic. Roughly, their music seems to be a mix of both classic bat cave proto goth rock and the more 90’s dark wave genre that melded dance electronics with doom and gloom elements respectively. These guys are pushing the boundaries of dark driven guitar rock where it seems much of the scene has gone more for the EBM trend yet they could easily appeal to both genres, including the dark metal scene as they know how to mix it up innovatively. Their songs move from straight forward gothic dance to more ballad’s that aren’t any less bombastic as is evident on their head on cover of “The Sounds of Silence”. With dark humor and meaningful lyrics moving soothingly next to their excellent musicianship, and the deep crooner vocals of Ashley Nyte leading the new dark renaissance with wonderful anthems including “The Dark Romantics”, “Vampyre Girl”, “Eve”, “Before I Leap”, “The March”, “Martyr”, “To Give”, “The Fountain”, etc. this will be undoubtedly a name to look out for, so dj’s and dark music fans take notice. Highly recommended to fans of The Cruxshadows, Him, Libitina, etc.” –Marcos
