Don’t you just love Monica Richards? I know I do when I listen to Strange Boutique one of those great Ethereal Goth bands with Punk like attitude. This release could not have come at a more timely fashion as Strange Boutique recently played a reunion show in Washington, D.C. where many beginnings started for this band. With this CD brings many classic hits from the band like their cover of David Bowies’ “Heroes” and “De Milo”. This is a CD that you must pick up especially if you are fairly new into the scene. The songs on this CD are powerful and guitar driven and will light up any room or club where these songs would be played. Some of the songs that you should play over and over again would be “Ears to the Ground”, “A Certain Euphoria”, and “Happy Birthday Wanda Jane”. Strange Boutique, “The Collection: 1988-1994”, is a powerful collection of classic Ethereal Goth-rock.
