Reviews CD Reviews Gothic Star Industry- Iron Dust Crush

Artist: Star Industy
CD Title: Iron Dust Crush

What else can I say, but Star Industry is top- notch gothic rock. I know this album is back from 1999, but is still making out as promo for review. This is definitely well-tuned gothic rock in the vein of the gothic greats like Sisters of Mercy and Fields of the Nephilm. The music is mostly guitar driven and has just the right touch of electronics to help the melodies move along. The vocals again in the vein of the artists like The Sisters of Mercy, but maybe even better. Probably one of the best tracks on this CD would be “Lady Daylight” that has a moody way about it and has moving electronics echoing around the guitar. I love everything about this song, and really is highlight of this CD. The first track “Nineties” comes in a blazing with an anthem like feel and growling vocals. This is one of the more upbeat songs that is again guitar drive and sounds like real drums. “Nineties” also would make a good club track for then the DJ plays more gothic songs. Another favorite pick would be the next track called “Carry Me”, again with great moody gothic rock, solid gothic rock I must say. Songs like “Ceremonial”,” “Egypt” and “Sodium Haze also get my vote for being really good gothic rock songs for this band. If you don’t own this CD, get it now!
