The new Jenn Vix CD titled "3" has dark electronics mixed with rock guitar that creates a very inviting CD. The electronics mixed with the guitars have a nice gothic balance. The CD has a good bass feel, and the synths have deep rich sound. The music sound has a downward -progression feel, keeping it dark, which really accents Jenn's voice and lyrics. I especially like the programming, as it sometimes takes on an industrial feel. The opening track, "Doll Heart" has dark synths that create the somber mood, and the guitars come in like a razor. The programming has a nice feel here, and could be danceable. I like the Jenn's voice delivery like when she sings the line that starts with, "If you push her". The next track, "Stuck" again has the deep synth that creates this thick dark sound. Jenn does a great job bringing out gothic sounds on this track. I like the use of guita as well. I like the vocals especially when she sings, "Oh Mother, why am I stuck:," and "Oh Father, why can't I move". Another track that caught my attention was the more upbeat, but stick dark " Broken Angels Singing". I like the programming, and especially the metal sounding sounds that drop here and there. I like this song a lot, and good guitar as well. "Wires and a Dream", has a different kind of feel, and like the added effects on the vocals in the beginning. I thought this song has a lot of atmosphere. The electronics has a nice loop. Other notable tracks would be the instrumental called, "Electronic Tribute to Toshiro Mif-UNE and "Open your Eyes- QTR". I give Jenn Vix a lot of create with this album. It is nice to finally hear a good female darkwave artist. Definitely pick up this CD. ( 8) - Julie Johnson
