Savior Sect has a gothic rock sound. They have a buzzing guitar sound, and have a simple percussion that does the trick. Besides the buzzing and driving guitar, the other guitar plays the main melody, and the bass has it owns place. The female vocalist has a pleasant voice, but I thought the vocals could have been a little more-clean sounding. I think it just had something to do with the overall recording. I felt the opening track had a great rock feel, and was a start of potential. "Ghost House" has guitar riffs that have a big sonic distortion sound, and had give the song a good rip. I also like the higher less distorted sound of the guitar played, and then the distorted guitar popped in and out. Savior Sect is very guitar driven, and that is good. It is nice to hear more- guitar within the songs of Savior Sect, and less machine. At the same time, I would like to see more danceable tracks for this band. I see their music working well in a small club. "The Filterman's vocal melody has good emotion. Savoir Sect has captured the technique of bringing out gothic rock. I think with a little more work with cleaning the recording, they could create a larger following within the gothic genre.
