Ghosting
Der Magische puls
Alice In.
By Julie Johnson : Nov 12, 01
After four years of silence Germany's Ghosting has risen with an exception electro goth release Der Magische Puls. "Gib dich hin" leads off the CD with a sinister blast. The song starts off with a creepy sci- fi synth, and an intense drumming. The vocals break in with a great gothic feel, and slowly brings everything to full trottle emotional music. The main beats remain throughout the song, and has this thick bubble sound that is placed in from time to time. "Schatten reich" comes in like the calm before the storm. Has a nice relaxed feel, and the synths sweap in and out, and then the the drums kick it with electro beats all scrambled up. The song really changes direction with this new beat pattern. It is really cool. The song seems like it would be a more quiet piece, and boom it is all crazy. "Seele" begins with electo beats that sound like they really want to shake some things up. It is like great ready, here be go! The next track is a cover of Fad Gadgets" Ricky's Hand. One of the more upbeat tracks made for dancing. They have done a nice job with this, and making it dark and danceable with catchy beats, and thick and poppy sounds with gothic downbeats. "Make a Fear" is cold, and has a factory like atmosphere. The vocals are raw, and almost like a whisper slicing through the thick electronics. This is a more downbeat track, that really lets out some hot steam slowly. "Todesengel" returns with more upbeat electronic, but now has a heavy industrial guitar with more military type gothic lyrics. A good track to have remixed for a club. Their sound reminds me of Das ICh mixed with Alien Sex Fiend in many of their songs. The new release is a great beginning to a hopeful future for Ghosting. A different kind of mix of gothic and electronics. There are 9 powerful songs that will mess with your reality.
