Any artist who release new material following a previously successfull album often will have difficultly keeping that same vibe alive. As an example would be for the new Cesium137 cd, Intelligent Design. This album is a follow up from their Elemental album, which brought forth great new dynamics in EBM/futurepop. After they had released the Luminious EP I was very eager to see what they would attempt next. With this ambulm it seems they have lost thier creative path. The cd begins with three great dance tracks "forsaken" "hollow" and "gravity." Meanwhile the rest of the album tend to get a bit redundent. While most of the tracks seem to loose their impact by each listen, their are a few that stood out, "taken" and "agonist"(which has a great videogame sounding beat.) With this release Cesium137 may see what works and what does not work, but in the meantime they will contine on to produce infectious dance-electro music.
