There has been a sudden rise in EBM coming out of Mexico. Ever since the emergeance of Hocico many new bands have proved that mexican EBM is as harsh as thier European counterparts. Amduscia is the latest import. Sounding very much like thier peers of Hocico, Amduscia has much more engery and anger in thier music. I first heard Amduscia from their first album, Melodies for the Devil, released on Out of Line. Thier first release was decent, but lacked substance. After they had released an EP called Dead or Alive, thier sound began to mature and the production of the music improved. With thier latest album, From abuse to Apostacy, Amduscia delivers a lethal kick of EBM madness. While incorperating a very dark trance influence on this album, the group still manages inject as much raw engery as possible. There are many great tracks presented on this cd, from "heresy" "aberracion en tu voz" "shattered mind" and "impulso biomecanico." I enjoyed this cd, but since many of the tracks are in spanish I have no clue what they are saying. While Amduscia is still unknown to most EBM fans, with this release thier popularity will soon rise.
