Biography:

“Dark electro crowds beware: XMH have overrun the barricades and will grab you by the throat! While they are currently putting the last touch to their 4th studio album, hard electro act XMH unleash today the first single from this new CD to be released in 2014 by Belgian label Alfa Matrix. "The Business" confirms the Dutch band's characteristic up tempo aggro-tech assaults while revealing a moremature and polished production work with refined virulent melodies reinforced by female backing vocals. LEAETHER STRIP mastermind Claus Larsen gave this song a magic eighties flair with carrying synth lines while keeping its club appeal through strong ripping bass lines and hammering beats. The second new song revealed here is entitled "Product" and receives from HEIMATAERDE a frontal bagpipe injection fused with pounding dark electro sequences give the guarantee of inflicting angry hours to defenceless dance floors; while SYSTEM:FX took a straighter approach to this same song fuelling it with some dirty x-over guitar sounds… A very strong 4-tracker making us want to hear more from XMH's new chemistry of sounds, styles and emotions...”

A melee of thunderous rhythms powerfully engage just as captivating as the brooding beats simply mesmerize. Drenched in an intense ambience and immersed in a seductive resonance it’s feisty I love it!

Product - Who hates Bagpipes - Remix by Heimataerde

Clever track this one – who doesn’t love bagpipes? The short choppy synth notes cascade into a vibrant rhythm with a gravelly vocal – the sound of the bagpipes floats through the track at intervals and for me adds a rapacious gnawing on the senses – another winner on this 4 track E.P

The Business – Leaether Strip

Some good sampled voices here and a low venomous and deep sonic brooding coupled with fantastic sharp synth – a wicked combo indeed. Persuasive and punchy just as it is intense and another superb track to behold.

Product - Slave to the Grind Remix by System FX

Well if there was ever a band I couldn’t keep still to it must be System FX and this track is no exception. It just wildly explodes into a jagged fury of madness that will certainly remove a few calories after the Xmas dinner! This track is emotive, stunning and clearly a masterpiece. I am certainly a slave to their rhythms and the band have done a superb job here as they always do.

To Sum up:

Described as a ‘Pit Bull on Steroids’ and they certainly weren’t wrong on that account! Here is one vibrant E.P that gives the mind a lot to feast upon and the body even more to move to. It’s an outstanding melodic teasing with some brutal beats and certainly one E.P I shall be playing over and over. As System: FX are on it I just have to award more than just 10. But the whole E.P is addictive, catchy and labour intense – Love it to death!
