Combichrist has been one of the busiest bands in the scene and has been touring almost non-stop in the US and Europe promoting their latest album “Making Monsters.“ On top of that, Making Monsters only follows Andy LaPlegua and Co’s last studio effort, Today We Are All Demons, by a year. Making Monsters is Combichrist’s fifth studio album in seven years. The album features twelve tracks. “Never Surrender” is a fantastic electro track, what we would expect from Combichrist. “Throat Full of Glass” is a slow, grooving track, with throbbing bass programming. “Fuckmachine” is a sleazy meditation on sex, a great dance-floor track, one that DJs have already picked up on. “Just Like Me” is a slow anthemic electro track. “Through These Eyes of Pain”  seems to branch out from the usual Combichrist formula, it is a slow, melodic track, unusual for Combichrist.  “Monstermurderkill” is classic Combichrist, another great dance track. Combichrist’s latest album continues in the tradition that has made it one of the biggest acts in the genre. “Making Monsters” will no doubt please fans of Combichrist, and perhaps bring more into the fold.
