The forthcoming CD, "Civil Disobedience" is probably the best I've heard so far in the Goth/Industrial genre. With so much sameness and staleness in the genre it's good to hear an old master put forth his finest work to date. Highlights for me are the title track, "Civil Disobedience", "Pissing on my Territory", "A Whore for Jesus" and "Snakebite". All the tracks are remarkably good but thesefew really stood out for me.
It's amazing the synth lines and drum work that emanate from this man. Always stellar, always consistent, he continues his vision in music and life. Lyrically, this album stands out, which is delightfully offbeat in a jungle of barely discerned lyrics and melodies that don't give you "that feeling". "Don't tread on me" seems to be the theme of his words on aural backdrop. As a minority myself (disabled) I greatly connect with his passionate discourse in this life. We must stand apart and declare our freedom. No one "chooses" to be disabled, so why doesn't this translate into sexualiity?
I hope that Claus will continue making his beautiful and inspirational music for years to come. Darkest Blessings my friend !!!
