Dismantled left an impressive within the industrial community ever since thier debut album. Rather than focusing on club hits, they created a sense of atmosphere and energy that had been missing in today's industrial music. Thier second album, Postnuclear, showed even more creative expansion. With thier current new release, Standard Issue, Dimantled have returned, but it seems things have changed a bit this time. The intensity and emotion still remains in the music, examples would be the opening tracks "anthem" and "get it through." Yet for some reason some of the songs like "preset" sounded a bit electro-clash. The strongest track on the whole album has to be "attention". I first heard this track from the Septic Vol.4 compilation(released by Dependent), but as an instrumental. The album version of this track has vocals, but I felt the non-vocal one sounded more powerfull. After listening to this album I felt that it really didn't stand out as thier past releases. While I did enjoy most of the tracks on the cd, It wasn't what I was expecting.
