Visions of struggle and the triumph to overcome. These are the thoughts that came to me right off the bat with Deus Ex Machina. A very charged dark electro synth pop album by the project ADVANCE. Break The Silence is very much a story in its own right with the soothing vocals casting its shadows over this dark electro injected synthpop anthem. Leading us into the next ride in this journey is Dead Technology which is such a well executed piece of work sure to make you dance in the bedroom aswell as in the club. One thing I have noticed so far is a lot of the music I could clump into dark electro but the style of the vocals is very reminiscent of synthpop and a clean vocal style which works so well with this project.

Driving us further into sorrow in hopes for a brighter day with a very bouncy synth line that lights up the night sky and a wonderfully progressed key change we have Divine Machines. Very fast and synth-ladden track. A bit stagnant, but so well executed with the multi layered synths, and bass key which seem to be making a bit of a strong impact lately with this style.

Other tracks of high mention in this beautifully well constructed album would be Enter The Wastelands starting off with a depraved pad as if to be played in the rain. It doesn’t take long for this little intro to kick right into gear with what lines up perfectly amongst the rest of these tracks. Lots of emotion seemingly to build during the verse leading us into the chorus, taking out all frustration and anger these vocals just belt out threw the chorus.

Fractured Existence is a well executed club catchy track. But then like another story to tell in the style of ADVANCE to unfold we are hit with silence and the ambient scape of night fall with the translucent and vibrant ringing of alarms as if to give us warning then striking right back into the amazing synth work we have once again heard another amazing track with so much to tell and explore in this auditory adventure.

Weapons of Choice is just another master piece of multilayered synth brilliance. One of my personal favorite tracks alongside Break The Silence.

Overall we have nine amazing songs that are perfectly well executed and I recommend this album to anyone. In fact I have already listened to this album from front to back more times then I now can remember. If this review doesn’t suck you in, then this track will.
