The great thing about a compilation like this is that it's not only entertaining, it's also educational. Maybe you're into the industrial metal of bands like Ministry and Bile; you'll probably also enjoy "What You Think Of Me" by Flawed. Or perhaps you're into more dance-oriented heaviness. Gewalt Kubikzahl might be up your alley with their club track "Save Us," or if the newer breed of terror EBM is your thing, you could give "Genetisches Material" by the new German act Taxim a try. With lots of spooky synthesized violins and a drum machine set to overdrive, it'll fit right in with the latest Suicide Commando hit. If industrial rock is what turns your crank, Deep Red's "Heavenly Mix" of "Living In Black" has plenty of punch to it, and Divider's "Apathetic" has the kind of catchy yelled chorus and driving techno elements that made Sister Machine Gun so popular in the '90s. Best of all, these bands come straight out of the underground; you probably won't have heard of most of them, so you're discovering brand new artists while you rock out. Although this disk has only ten tracks and clocks in at under an hour, it's a lot more worth your time than the usual triple-disk compilations over-stuffed with the kind of obscure remixes from big name bands that are only of interest to the most diehard collectors. Instead of a lot of dubious quantity, Weatherhead gives you ten gems of guaranteed quality.
