Artist: All Guns Blazing CD Title: Revelations Label: Rising Records Reviewer: Rhys Stevenson Date: 5-31-10 Bath quintet All Guns Blazing unleashes a torrent of fury, brutality and lustre with their debut album ‘revelations’. Pounding beats, shredding guitars and gritty vocals are only a subtle taster of the musical sonata that they have created. Their debut is to be released this year on Rising Records (The Dead Lay Waiting, etc) and is sure to be an album for any Metalcore, hardcore, screamo and pure English metal fan. Expect fast and ferocious melodies synched with hell blazing drumming, volatile vocals and galloping guitars. This time, Bath will have ‘All Guns Blazing’, while you will have your ears burnt apart by a 5-piece army. Destruction, death and diagnostics are 3 three words to describe the music, but one simple sentence would be ‘experimental music beyond mere sonatas’. Epic riffage and solos collaborated along ear-bashing blastbeats and sacrilegious words, this quintet have more to say but have delivered a sermon that the Vatican ought to envy, albeit the Vatican has no metal scene. For fans of Hatebreed, the Dead Lay Waiting, 36 Crazyfists, and Bring Me the Horizon. Don’t forget to tune your ears in, as the Bath quintet will have ‘All Guns Blazing’, prepare for a bloody slaughter. Written by Rhys Stevenson 9/10 https://www.myspace.com/allgunsblazinguk |
