"Obey" is the third release from this trio of German thrash metal maniacs Hateful Agony. These guys hail from Munich and they fucking shred! This is really good violent thrash metal played the old school way. You can hear a lot of the old thrash bands influences in their sound. Kreator, Destruction, Slayer, and Sodom have to be bands that these guys have listened to a lot, but they haven't copied those bands. They use these influences and create their own brand of chaotic thrashing madness. Hateful Agony isn't just a thrash band though, there are definite death metal and punk sounds mixed in as well. With all of these so called retro thrash bands putting out shitty copycat riffs these days, Hateful Agony definitely stand out from the pack as one of the better thrash bands to come out in the past ten years. "Obey: is a good album sure to make thrashers and death metal fans alike happy. Definitely pick this one up and support Hateful Agony!
