Artist: Sathanas
Album: Crowned Infernal
Label: Pulverised Records
I received this advanced promo of the new Sathanas album “Crowned Infernal” in the mail today with much excitement. I was told that this album was different from the past in that, it had a much better sound than the other releases. I liked the sound they had before, but wow does this sound way better. Mixing and mastering was handled by ex-Watain/Funeral Mist/In Aeternum member Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studios who did a killer job.
The music on “Crowned Infernal” is every bit as good as the production. Paul, Jim & Bill stick to the formula they’ve always used and unleash a blasphemous assault through eleven tracks of blackened death metal. The music is really tight and it’s hard to pick out a favorite track. Definite standouts are “At Death’s Command”, “Beneath The Blood Red Moon”, “The Beast Of Revelation” and the badass “Sacrificial Kingdom”.
The cover art was handled by none other than the legendary Necrolord. He did an excellent job and the cover is fitting for such a great album. Everything about this album is killer and it is a definite must have!
