Flood of Tears- Flood of Tears

Hailing from Argentina, Flood of Tears brings out the very best of gothic rock. What is great about this band is their old –school gothic vibe. You can tell that many of their influence have come from such gothic artists like Sisters of Mercy, March Violets, Two Witches, and Fields of The Nepflim. The vocals are dark and seem to have an echo effect on them and really enforce their gothic tone. The band has a unique blend the dark guitar, bass and just the right about of drum programming. Track 1, "So Easy," has an upbeat drive and plenty of dark melodies that are great to dance to the back room at the Batcave. I like how track 2, "I'll Keep her Company Forever" starts off with bells that give this song a cold feel, and distorted guitars that lash out with a hypnotic effect. The vocals during this song remind of of Jyrki Witches approach to singing. "Come Asunder" is my recommended track that really shows what this band can really do. This has all the elements, mid-tempo, dancable, wide varitey of sound and has a catchy melody. I hope to really hear more of this type of style when they get their CD organized. Since this is a 7 song demo and the band is still looking for a label I feel that after proper recording, mixing, and re-mastering will really clean up the over all sound and they will really have a polished sound. Again, I must say this is true gothic rock and just wait till they really break out from Argentina.
