“This is a side project from the infamous German cult band, Sopor Aeternus. Though not far from SA, the elements present on this album are of a magical land of fairies, knights, maidens, & evil sorcerers witnessing fateful situations take place before them in a haunted land. All in a storytelling & conceptual fashion w/ German vocals throughout the whole disc & luckily some of the lyrics are translated in English for the listener to capture & relish in the melancholic, pretty themes. Beautiful vocals & lyrics provided by Constance w/ music & occasional vocals from SA founder & obscure spirit, Varney. Nine sophisticated pieces of renaissance, medieval music that’s deeply imbedded in a more romantic style than SA´s bleak musings & this is a surprisingly rare treat for fans of SA, & a must listen for neo classical fans alike.
