Reviews CD Reviews Gothic The Blessed Virgin Larry- The Blessed Virgin Larry

  Artist: [The Blessed Virgin Larry]
CD Title: [Self-titled]
Label: [mp3.com]
Reviewer: [Marcos Massarri]
Date: [7/27/03]

"This six song cd shows off the talent & campy dark humored flavor of vocalist Gamma & his traveling caravan circus of horrors. W/ all their various musical influences running amuck, they're songs range from more sinister pop to heavier dark rock, & should more than aptly win over different musical genres. While definitely in the realm of surf punk & death rock to the horror B film integrations of Gothabilly/psychobilly, & shock rock, yet may still have attraction to fans of more MTV mainstream "generation x" bands. Thoughtfully brutish in a "Munsters" sort of fashion w/ electronic rock rhythms, decadent glam imagery, & 60´s surf a go-go gone sonically warped, this isn't an easy band to categorize & worth looking into for fans of all these various musical genres."
