Ghosting “Disguised in Black” Alice In) Review by Julie J. “Sascha Tayefeh´s & his outfits latest creation “Disguised in Black” is questionably broken into three parts & I say questionably because the music doesn’t change much in tone throughout the entire disc & much like their previous album, Ghosting has taken up their sound a notch giving a more focused view to their synthesizers providing more of electro dance elements & fusing it w/ their trademark neo classical gothic aesthetics, & the result is some truly unnerving & sinister music so it definitely won’t disillusion older fans. “Disguised in Black” should really be the starter to show the U.S.that Ghosting can easily become the next big club act to turn heads since VNV Nation or The Cruxshadows because their so much talent in their music & it’s even a bigger mystery why they aren’t super stars here already. Standout’s include the title track, “Die Baby Die”, “Little World”, “Some More Lies”, “Schlange”, “No Pain”, “Where Bodies Sleep”, “Nothing Left”, “Lion King”, & “Watching the Sky”. They’re a prime example of a band who defiantly progress w/ each release. I eagerly await “a best of” album.” |
