Reviews CD Reviews Gothic Benign- Diaries of Love and War

Artist: Benign
Title: Diaries of Love and War

Tim Goodacre is Benign, an extremely talented individual whose songwriting and musical abilities are excellent and top-notch. And Tim’s voice---it simply fascinates me. And with that said, Benign has become one of my most fast-moving artist favorites this year.

“Diaries of Love and War” is a showstopper of an album that has a variety of riveting and upbeat songs and beautiful heartfelt ones, too. And right there, is why the music of “Benign” is so appealing---being able to creatively and with the talent to back it up is why Benign is able to handle the numerous musical and vocal stylizations, giving more than just the album’s personality, but a journey of it. Songs that dazzle and toy with my brain in the most dizzying and wonderful ways that a gal can get (musically speaking, that is) are “Protocol”, “Sound”, “Ana”, “March Of The Living”, “Dance Of The Dead”, “Rue Ste Catherine”, “Odysseus” (If you think falling in love with a song can’t happen, I’ve just proven you all wrong) and “Pace”.

Benign is a very unique, talented and special individual.  A singer and musician, whose career is likely to shine even brighter than it has. I’m extremely looking forward to following the career of Benign.
