Drop Dead Gorgeous instantly became my favorite Glampire release. When I think of this album, I think of a "big" sound. This CD rocks totally! This CD takes a more rock type feel then past albums. The first track, "New way of living" had an interesting feel that hooked me right away. The beginning sort of had David Bowie- "Man who sold The World feel. I also like the ending with the thick guitar with distortion and bass. It was definitely one of the many musical highlights. "Let your Love Decide", starts with a more metal guitar, and breaks into a more funk feel that raises up. The vocals really explode in this track, and flow smooth into the grooves of the song. While listening to this song, you really want to get up and move around. "Rise" starts with good electronic beat, and he used a good effect with the vocals. "Rise" has a more dark feel then the first 2 songs. "Cold Stare", is one of my favorites, I just love the vocals, and how they fit with the melody of the chorus, with "don't you mind, my cold stare". This song is light, and really sparkles. I like how the song also has edge as well, and has more hard melodies at times. "New Free Radio Waves" is the best song on the album in my opinion. It is strong, catchy and exciting. This song has great rock guitar, and strong vocals. I love when he sings "Shout outs". This song totally rocks, and I can't get enough of this song. "Drop Dead Gorgeous" starts out with a more acoustic rock sound, which adds the much variety of this album. "The World Gets Away" is another light track that picks you up. This reminds me of The Cure, mixed with Smashing Pumpkins. "Better than This" is my second favorite song, I love the mix of guitars and programming. I like the different effects within the song. I like how the guitar slices its way through the drumming. There is a good thick sound built within the song, and again the vocals soar above the more heavy sounds. Overall, Drop Dead Gorgeous is the best album he has done. There is more edge with this CD, and opens many more doors for his music. I love the ever-changing evolving sound of Glampire's music. There is an excellent mix of glam, rock and electronics in this album.
