In this time it seems there are many new EBM/Futurepop bands appearing every second, which makes it difficult to see spot the rest from the others. However there is one group that I became aware of that I had no idea about. Interface, a new talented band from Long Island. I was first heard of Interface from thier previous album, Angels in Disguise. I was impressed buy thier sound and by the vocalist Eric Eldredge, who composes much of the music. Interface would file under the same league of bands like Assemblage23 and Seabound, but Interface has thier own unique style which separates themselves from thier peers. I was lucky enough to get a early copy of newest album, Beyond Humanity. While the new album presents a great selection of club hits, there isn't really anything new about this album. Half the time the songs tend to get a bit slow and uninteresting. Yet this dosent mean this album is bad. Songs like "age of computers" and "mindkiller" are excellent for the club. One song That I liked the most was "stranger in a strange land", which is a nice song to hear while driving. Another song that caught my attention was "nobody's hero", which had a Funker Vogt feeling to it, right down to the chorus and the music. After hearing Beyond Humanity I began to wonder what direction Interface will take next. While this album didn't standout as much as Angels in Disguise, it still was a decent effort and good to know there are bands in America who are making this kind of music.
