When I first heard Taxim I was instantly hooked. My first impression was that they music was creepy, evil and perfect if you like dark electronic music. It was like music out of horror film. The first track, “Ecclesiophobia” had this pounding rhythm that just keep beating and beating. I have to say this was my first taste of Taxim so I didn't realize that the music would be fast paced pretty much most of the time except for tracks like “Freier Fall”. "Freier Fall" is based around dark piano and a record player sound which was a nice break from the more aggressive tracks that were to follow. “Freier Fall” reminded me of instrumental pieces from NIN. With all the fast paced songs I was worried that it would all sound the same after a while, but it was different from track to track. Taxim also offers a mix of samples that are fit with the mood of the album. You will find all the songs very aggressive in nature and highly danceable. There are plenty of melodies that never let up. If you are into dark fast paced electronics with a sinister edge Taxim is for you. Taxim is not as razor sharp as you might think but it will rip through your senses with strong melodies that you can stomp to at any club that plays Taxim especially tracks like “das 25 jaht.
