Depeche Mode are undoubtedly the pioneers of electronic music and have since the early 80s gradually classics delivered. Now, the label released "Alfa Matrix" is a tribute double CD with partly unknown and partly successful tracks of the trio. First, I would note that I will not go into the songs themselves, but only to the musical interpretation and the implementation of the bands.

Initially act as the favorite playing songs it was only a single band, as well as each instrument has the same. The drums appear to be relatively cheap electronic drum beats with simple, as is the keyboard sounds. Here I would have liked more of the respective bands greater support. But for all the songs were recorded completely perfect, there are no unwanted interference noise and the singing is always understandable.

I especially like is the song "Little 15" by "Black Blood", the bass is very catchy. And "Fly on the Windscreen" by "Komor command" blew me away. Here fit synthesizer, bass vocals, and drums perfectly. to prove "Komor Kommando" potential own songs with the guest voice of "Jonas Groth" can make. Even "Alien Vampires" occur with a deafening but overall very cool drum beat and make a change at this point with "Fools".

"Diffuzion" set with a long intro to partly also on the EBM scheme, but unfortunately it seems like a bad remix of the cover of "Here Is the House". Quite the opposite of "Studio-X" and its "I Feel You" cover, the guitar is not too excessive, I would miss her even if I had to hear the song without the guitar again. Respect to the vocal talent is matching every note. "Studio-X" I will keep an eye on future releases, and now also do. The band "Tamtrum" shows the "In Sympathy" cover the greatest musical work talents. On the one hand, one has to listen to the feeling of a new song "Pendulum", on the other hand, make the breaks a very melancholy voice.

Conclusion:

You hear what bands the money for higher-quality equipment has, thus convincing the tribute album not as a whole. However, it is a very beautiful tribute to Depeche Mode become and I thank every band on this double CD, the cult-songs may be heard in a new guise

Depeche Mode sind zweifellos die Pioniere der elektronischen Musik und haben seit Anfang der 80er nach und nach Klassiker geliefert. Nun veröffentlicht das Label "Alfa Matrix" eine Tribute-Doppel-CD mit teils unbekannten und teils erfolgreichen Tracks des Trios. Vorweg möchte ich anmerken, dass ich nicht auf die Songs selbst eingehen werde, sondern lediglich auf die musikalische Interpretation und die Umsetzung der Bands.

Anfänglich wirken die meißten Songs als sei es nur eine einzige Band, so gut wie jedes Instrument wirkt gleich. Das Schlagzeug erscheint als relativ billiges E-Drum mit simplen Takten, ebenso die Keyboard-Sounds. Hier hätte ich mir mehr von den jeweiligen Bands mehr Einsatz gewünscht. Aber dafür wurden restlos alle Songs perfekt aufgenommen, es gibt keine ungewollten Stör-Geräusche und der Gesang ist immer verständlich.

Besonders gefallen hat mir der Song "little 15" von "Schwarzblut", der Bass ist sehr eingängig. Auch "Fly on the Windscreen" von "Komor Kommando" haut mich um. Hier passen Synthesizer, Bass, gesang und Schlagzeug perfekt. "Komor Kommando" beweisen Potential eigene Songs mit der Gaststimme von "Jonas Groth" machen zu können. Auch "Alien Vampires" treten mit ohrenbetäubendem aber insgesamt sehr tollem Drum-Beat auf und schaffen an dieser Stelle Abwechslung mit "Fools".

"Diffuzion" setzen mit einem teils zu langem Intro ebenfalls auf das EBM-Schema, wirken aber leider wie ein schlechter Remix des Covers von "Here is the House". Ganz im Gegenteil zu "Studio-X" und ihrem "I feel you"-Cover, die Gitarre ist nicht zu übertrieben, ich würde sie sogar vermissen, wenn ich den Song ohne Gitarre nochmal hören müsste. Respekt an das gesangliche Talent, hier passt jeder Ton. "Studio-X" werde ich im Auge behalten und zukünftige Veröffentlichungen auch kaufen wollen. Die Band "Tamtrum" zeigt mit dem "In Sympathy"-Cover die größten muskalischen Talente. Einerseits hat man das Gefühl einen neuen Song von"Pendulum" zu hören, andererseits machen die Breaks eine sehr melancholische Stimme.

Fazit:

Man hört welche Bands das Geld für qualitativ hochwertigeres Equipment besitzt, dadurch überzeugt das Tribute-Album nicht als Ganzes. Dennoch ist es eine sehr schöne Hommage an Depeche Mode geworden und ich danke jeder Band auf dieser Doppel-CD die Kult-Songs in neuem Gewand hören zu dürfen.
