Between his activities for the afore named bands, Daniel Galda established the electro/industrial band Skorbut together with Joerg Huettner back in 1996. Several CDs were released under the name Skorbut between 2001 and 2009. During the work on the 2007 Skorbut album Firewall, Daniel became acquainted with Armin Kuester. Armin had produced several remixes for Skorbut before and contributed a song to the Firewall album. In 2009 the club hymn "Phantom Pain" was created by the Galda/Kuester team. Motivated by the fruitful collaboration Daniel and Armin decided to establish an own project: Deadcibel was born.

So, Daniel Galda and Armin Kuester have several music experiences inside old music projects which they have produced many gigs in Europe and USA. They started their music experiments with a no expensive instrumentation; in fact, at the beginning of their experiments they were using low cost computers.

This German EBM, Industrial band, Deadcibel writes reinvented various genres of dark electronic music explaining how they love the Wave and EBM old-school sound of the late 80's and early 90's.

They're also fascinated by minimal beats and present-day electro-industrial. These are the sound elements where Deadcibel recognize herself, like they say describing their influences. “Klondike” released in October 1, 2010, hits with a dark and strongly rhythmic sound mixing weird synths tainted by melodic and sweet atmospheric sound effects which they give also a “dream dimension” to the Deadcibel philosophy. Particularly evident in the song titled “One of 47” the use of suggestive keyboards. This track uses electronic effects which I can describe as “dreamy keyboards” because there is a wide space dedicated to a simple and at the same time suggestive melody. Personally, I can say that this melody element is harmonically integrated in the overall electro beating and rhythm section in “One of 47”. The band also describes their sound as “dementia, depression, emotion”, three words which they appear as the extreme synthesis of their sound and lyrics concept. In the song titled “Too tired to Consume” there are sounds with an unsettling, hypnotic and “bizarre” effects which give to this album little sensations of madness. As usual in a project that respects the EBM guidelines, the “messages” into the songs are obsessive like obsessive are the rhythmic sections inside every track in the album. “B.I.I.D” is a good mix of EBM and the Industrial influences are particularly evident. Overall, the entire album appears not monotonous because the mood in this album is not only one, but there is a contrast generated by romantic veins against dark and melancholic temptations. Every song succeeds to explore different fields suggesting also sensation of nightmare and minimal wicked allusions. “Between my headphones” is a track that mixes some Dance element, Industrial, Dark music of 80's and some Gothic music suggestion.

Concluding, I can say that the band has various musical influences and drastic mood changes among the songs in this album. They might make some EBM listener not very happy because there is not one single mood or a single “concept” in this album. However, an open approach to listening to this work can lead to appreciation all the nuances of this album.
