Don't be fooled; despite the grandiose title, this compilation isn't the announcement of a new international movement. Instead, it's a remix collection from the Studio-X crew featuring their signature blend of hard-edged EBM and high-BPM techno. It's not the revolution that the title promises, but Studio-X's remixes of tracks like XP8's "The Art of Revenge" and Straftanz's "Straftanz West" with their clashing snares and thundering kicks push tracks that were already effective club smashes to new heights of dance floor energy. Particularly memorable is a remix of Angelspit's "Skinny Little Bitch" that sets the aggressive spoken vocals of the original over a minimalist pumping rhythm that builds into soaring trance arpeggios. In addition to nine remixes, Studio-X also contribute a couple of originals; "Bounce" delivers the promise of its title with gritty synth sequences bouncing between a relentlessly clobbering beat, but "Bodymusic" is surprisingly upbeat, with electronic organs giving things an almost heavenly feel to counterbalance the earthy bounce of the bass line. A solid collection of dance floor candy, this album highlights Studio-X's talents both at remix work and original compositions.
