Artist: Edge of Dawn
Title: Borderline Black Heart
Label: Dependent (Europe) Metropolis Records (North-America)
The masterful electronic sounds and arrangements pulsate with uniqueness, driven vocals echo deep coolness and sharpness, so much so, that the combinations could seriously cut through a metropolis in the mist of a futuristic ice storm, thanks to the artistic accomplishments of Edge of Dawn members, Mario Schumacher and Frank M. Spinath.
Edge of Dawn captivates with their album “Borderland Black Heart”
(available for download in MPS format) featuring track remixes including Fractured and Stromkern along with, an incredible duet with Charlene April (Blind Faith and Envy) called “Kiss or Kill”, a new track by Edge of Dawn.
“Split Second” (Undertow), at this moment, is my favorite. Actually, I’m really having a hard time admitting to my final standing, only because so many of the other songs are completely special in their own way. Perhaps it’s at this moment…this “split second” that I feel this song has me under its wing of superior music and lyrics for a reason; one I have not fully explored, and because of the song, it has opened me up to do just that. “Descent”(Fractured Remix) is so good...such a classic-sounding song with a message that spins many emotions with every listen, and always will. And I like that it does.
I am so taken in by the music of Edge of Dawn that I feel my cheeks warming…the kind of warmth that is only felt during the early afternoon hours of springtime. Edge of Dawn has easily become a band I wholeheartedly respect and will forever look forward to following their brilliant career.
