Taking on a darker side of electronica and techno is Germany's own Psychobitch, who I've heard alot about from the rave scene. Alot of the ravers I used to hang out with (one I dated) when I worked in the suburbs sang this girl's praises quite alot. And for good reason! This is what you get if you combine Lords Of Acid with a more sophisticated world of industrial patterns and rhythms, with a tap dance on the lines between rave and goth-industrial culture. It could easily fit into both and still come out hanging classics on the DAC charts as well as the DJ playlists, and does hold a certain maturity rare in the field of dancefloor-oriented music. It also has a bit of a Goldfrapp feel to it at times, though definitely not alot or blatantly obvious. Highly recommended, esp. for the track "Fitter Than You", which has to be one of the most sexual-sounding track I've heard in ages! It's about survivial of the fittest, as the title would suggest, but the presentation is very sexy indeed! This whole CD has that feel, but that one is definitely the crown taker.
