Schattenschlag pounds out sharp and hard electronics beats. This is another well-programming CD that has many danceable tracks. If you are into harder electronic artists like Hocico then Schattenschlag is an artist for you too. Within the CD you will hear many distorted vocal effects and heavy programming and loops. The lyrics are both in German and English. One of the best tracks on the CD would be “Gefuhskalt,” which has a very dark and cold beginning before it breaks out into fierce programming. The beginning starts off with a sample and you can hear rats in the background. This track really is fast paced and has that hard “Hocico” type sound. With this track you can have double the pleasure as there is also a remix of “Gefuhskalt”. Other hard edged tracks that will push and pull you across the dance floor would be “Deine Augen”, “Schlachfeld” and “Schlagatausch”. The CD also offers plenty of remixes if you are into remixes. The only problem with the CD in my opinion is that “Gefuhskalt” is really the best track whereas the other songs are good but they don’t grab your attention as much. I find my self listening to the same couple of songs over and over and not all the tracks.
