Sky Salt- I Believe In Fairy Tales

Sky Salt. Love the name of the band. I was intrigued. I cheked them out. Unteresting indeed. The cd was just out this Spring. The intro track...a creepy music box for 40 seconds. Love it. Then...whamo...in your face alternative rock. I like it. I dig the lead singers voice and they hail from NYC to boot. Rockin'. How do I describe them...just alternative. An Addams Family looking lead gal vocalist...with an Alice in Chains vibe. Kinky. LOL. Goth tones in spots...definately an influenced...but not driven by. The 3rd track...Beautiful...is really a great track. Worth the whole album. Good guitar playing. Even Van Halenesque. Cool. How I feel is also a really strong cut. My only complaint...not into how it was mastered...having 2 cds of my own...I would have mastered it differently...even mixed it differently. Each song is soo different...takes oyu on a musical journey. I would just say it good ole alternative music. Looking forward to hearing more from this band and seeing them live I imagine would be a treat.
