Metal Edge has named Kittie one of the Top Ten Bands to Watch in 2006. You can put money on that one! Kittie are back with a vengeance and they know where you live! Just remember who also got to interview Kittie in 2006, Grave Concerns E-zine! This is out second time talking with Kittie and we are exciting to be bring you up-to-date once again. What started out as a group of little girls in a basement nearly a decade ago has become a massive indomitable force. Kittie have had brushes with greatness and near misses with extinction but have never surrendered.

GC: What is Kittie up to right now?

Mercedes: We just put out an online only EP called Never Again- 3songs- there's an extra track on Itune. We're also about to tour. 3/30 it starts 3 month tour as of now- major cities in the USA.

GC: Whats the best thing about being in Kittie?

Mercedes: We get to play music for a living, be on stage, do what we love to do!

Seeing kids get excited about our band is the best thing,

GC: Advice for other bands?

Mercedes: Play any chance you get, it helps you become a better band- practice makes perfect, be at the right place at the right time

GC: Any bands that maybe we have'nt heard of that you would recommend people to check out?

Mercedes: Copeland, a band called May, and Behemoth.

GC: Is there another band doing the tour with you?

Mercedes: A few, for different parts of the tour- Bloodline Calligraphy, Calco Systems, The Agony Scene, Ringworm, On Broken Wings

GC: Are there going to be new videos for the new songs?

Mercedes: As of now no, but maybe later on, crossing our fingers, may put out a new record next year.

GC: Have you ever been in non-all girl bands?

Mercedes: Guitar player was a guy a few years ago, it doesnt really matter, as long as they can play.

GC: Whats your new stuff like?

Mercedes: A lot more thought out, when Morgan I wrote the new stuff we focused on writing a song instead of just slapping riffs together. More thought out, better writing process, this record the songs are alot more heavier guitar wise but also way more melodic. You may just have to listen to it, make your own judgements. Different but definitely Kittie.

GC: Describing Kittie- genre-wise?

Mercedes: I think we kind of have our own signature sound- I hate being classified, labels are kinda stupid..but metal I guess is fine. Not "we're THIS kind of metal...I dont think its appropriate for us"

GC: What is the most memorable show that Kittie ever did and why?

Mercedes: There's been alot that were out of hand. We played in Detroit Superbowl weekend. A small club called TNTs- held 700 people, they stuffed 1,000 people in there. We got offstage and we were soaked cause it was so hot in there. My persoanl best show cause the energy was so high in the room, something to remember, great crowd there.

GC: Anything else u want to tell people?

Mercedes: Thanks to the fans of the band, there's more in store in the near future. Check out our Never Again CD. We're not the band we were in 1999.
