GC: What is the name of your band and who are the current members?

We are The Flatliners. Dave on guitar/bass and vocals, Bill on guitar/bass and drums

GC: How did you become connected to make music?

We are related, no way around it

GC: What are your musical influences?

F: Everything from Hanoi Rocks to Velvet Acid Christ

GC: What is your live show like?

F: For now we are a studio band. we do not have a set live line-up

GC: Tell us about your own unique style of music?

F: Our musical style is a mixture of industrial rock and 80's over the top rock n roll wrapped up in a punk wrapper.

GC: What serparates your band from all the other bands out there?

F: Good question. I like to think that we have the right outlook. we take it seriously with taking it too seriously. we can laugh at ourselves just as well as we laugh at others. we are no better then anyone us, just a little luckier.

GC: How do you go about writing songs?

F: One of us will come up with a guitar riff and we will work the song from there. lyrics are always last. no matter how good the lyrics are if there is nothing catchy underneath them they will just get lost

GC: What is your latest news with the band?

We are in the process of working out a deal with a record label out in california, we are going to be include on a worldwide distributed compilation out of south america and finally, we are finishing up recording our version of "White Christmas" for a chrismas compilation being released this winter.

GC: Where do you hope to be in 5 years with your band?

Happy, that's what it is all about

GC: How are people currently reacting to your music?

So far so good. most people that hear it connect with it and enjoy it. those who don't, oh well, it was never meant to be then.

GC: What would be the top 3 reasons for listening to your music?

Bordom, a change, cause we are nice guys so you should give us a chance

GC: What is your best experience as a band?

Everytime we are in the studio it is a great experience. no pressure, no stress, just us having a good time.

GC: What is your worst experience as a band?

I honestly can not think of one off the top of my head. probably one time we put down the perfect take and realized that the recorder wasn't running, something stupid like that. GC: What is most important to you in your band? enjoying ourselves

GC: Do you have a personal favorite song, could be your own or another artist?

It changes by the hour. It depends on the mood I am in at the time.

GC: What was the hardest song to write and why?

they are all hard in their own way. if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

GC: What do you think of the current gothic/ EBM/ Industrial/ noise/ synthpop etc scence today?

I think the scene is alive and well and the internet has ALOT to do with that. at the click of a mouse you can find a fantastic unknown band from the other side of the world and have their music within minutes. it's an amazing concept.

GC: What music do you currently listen to?

I've been listenig to alot of that screamcore, emocore or whatever they are calling it. atreyu, from first to last, bands like that.

GC: How do you keep changing your music from album to album or plan to change it?

We don't plan anything. we just record what comes to us. if it doesn't fit in with what we are working on we just shelve it for future use.

GC: If you have released a CD and after listening to it or making it would you change anything and why?

I usually end up wishing i could change everything about it.

GC: How do you go about making decisions with your music?

It usually goes something like this, "dude, what do you think?" "ok then, that's what we will do" it's that simple

GC: What kind of recording environment do you have?

We have a home studio configured, fully equipped.

GC: How long did you spend on your latest effort?

We didn't keep track of time

GC: What is the hardest thing about being in a band for this genre?

Being taken seriously. getting people to look past labels and giving it a chance
