It takes a lot for me to get into a female fronted electronic group, but there was something about Flutter that made me want to turn up ‘Toys in Coin Machines,” and start dancing like a maniac around my room. Flutter is -dark pop electronic rock artist from the Chicago area. They have a great dark –pop style that is comes together with strong female vocals. Their music reminds me of a more rock-oriented Bjork, Garbage, Curve mixed with Kraftwerk. Flutter has super catchy electronics that will never let you down. When you are listening to the vocals you will hear beautiful falsetto accentuation over the explosive beats like in one of the hottest tracks on this CD called “City Girl.” Their music can sound very happy and sad at times, but that is what dark-pop is all about! This CD will make anyone feel like a happy kid again when they get that new toy out of the machine! I would recommend this CD highly. Songs I would suggest would be: “4th Day”, where Christine seems to speak her mind about lots of different things, “City Girl”, “Come With Me” and “Sleepwalking”. I can’t wait to hear more from this super dark-pop group!
