T.O.Y. - White Lights

A Differnt Drum

Synthpop / Futurepop

This limited edition release is the second full-length album from rising international act T.O.Y.. The album contains 15 tracks in total, including three remixes and a special performance by Steffen Keth (of De/Vision) as a guest vocalist on "The Sky Is the Limit". Volker Lutz (vocals, programming, production) and Oliver Taranczewski (lyrics, keyboards) create the catchy, smooth dance beats with smart, clean lyrics. From the start, this album leaps onto the dance floor, progressively moving into velvety trip-pop with a subtle blend of smooth-jazz-meets-electonica. A hint of a 80s retro-style, blended into 21st century up-beat sound, combines to make a very polished and diverse album. Recommend for fans of Depeche Mode for the mellow male vocals. Melotron and Project Pitchfork fans may appreciate the well-crafted programmed dance beats, and quality of lyrics. A must have for all fans of the ever growing electro-pop movement. 4 out a possible 5
