Artist: EarthWorm

CD Title: The Infernal Device

Label: Primordial Music

Earthworm is Matt Collins (musician and producer) and Mike Varian (drummer) whom back in 2004 through 2006 wrote and recorded the music for their debut album “The Infernal Device”.

“The Infernal Device” is mysterious, ominous, and a voluminous nightmare of music; like long steel fingers dipped in icy mercury, jabbing and probing its way further, and further into your ear canals, deafening your other senses, while heightening the experiences of what’s creeping, and will eventually take over the thoughts inside your head.

The 9 tracks on the album are outstanding, but it’s with the following songs, those that   consumed me, not quickly though, but with a more cunning way. “Underworld Nine”, “Dragon”, “A Giant In The Earth”, “Green Ghost” and “Mind Control” are so unique in their presentations, that they will, more than likely, allow the listener to regrettably not forget their own reality, but instead be an unwilling and active participant to the maze of thick, mesmerizing sounds of Earthworm’s “ The Infernal Device.”

Mmm, nightmares can be so much fun, for those whom are creating them! (;
