Empyrean Asunder are an industrial band formed in 1998, and revived in 2013. In their current line-up they have released the EP Hate, with 5 tracks for 17 minutes of music.

Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, Empyrean Asunder follow the line of industrial music that we find in a number of female-fronted industrial acts. The frontlady, Olivia Asunder plays the violin and uses clean and harsh vocals. As such, the comparison with bands such as Emilie Autumn and Zombie Girl as quickly made. And it must be said, Empyrean Asunder has all the elements to rise up and take their spot right next to Emilie Autumn.

Much of the image of Empyrean Asunder revolves around the aesthetics of Olivia Asunder, who, just like Emilie Autumn fulfills all the beauty standards of the dark scene. While more aggressive and harsher than Emilie Autumn, there are plenty of melodic elements in the industrial music that Empyrean Asunder makes.

To sum it all up, Empyrean Asunder have produced a solid record with Hate which might catapult them to the forefront of the female-fronted industrial scene.
