Flesh Eating Foundation, the zombie electro punks from Stafford, have long maintained a warm place in my heart with their ability to take b-movie themes and inject them straight into some dirty and gritty industrial rock without cheapening the final product.

With Industrial being such a serious and fracticious scene these days, Flesh Eating Foundation have raised a middle finger to all the bullshit and just got on with what they do best...EATING BRAINZ!....(and producing some genuinely interesting music for you to stomp, sway and 'flee from the rising dead' to)

So Yeah is an 8 track EP with a couple of remixes of the title track thrown in, including a little known Australian outfit called ANGELSPIT! (Seriously though, thats a big name to get in for a re-mixer).
The Title track is the main draw, with some true punk sentiment spilled over some sludgey synth bass that threatens to pull you under. My favourite aspect of this track is actually the lyrics...

"So yeah I'm angry, I'm bitter too, I want to kick some arse and I'm going to"
Words that sum up the feeling of an entire generation in a single sentence.

The song itself is a mixture of buzzsaw guitars, massive kicks and some seriously pissed off vocals which lends itself to being an anthem of a bad day.

They have a video for 'So Yeah' which you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4614Wgdus-Q

The rest of the EP is made up by original tracks and if one were being cynical, the obligatory trance synth remix, this time provided by T-Lab. (I should say that It is a very well produced remix and I mean no slight on T-Lab, its just a little bit by the numbers for my personal tastes).

I'm glad to say that Flesh Eating Foundation mix up the tempos and aggression nicely throughout the EP, always maintaining that vaguely menacing atmosphere that we have learnt to love about Flesh Eating Foundation, whilst keeping things moving along quick enough to avoid any track going stale.

These Zombies have managed to craft their own niche using old school Industrial sounds and production, Punk Mentality and Agression, and a little contemporary Electro glazed over the top.
This means you get an atmospheric, enjoyable, tongue in cheek journey through a b-movie rollercoaster with some real messages about the state of Britain hidden in there too.

Flesh Eating Foundation are a genuinely unique act, and one that you should check out right now at Glory And Honour Records:
