The Young Gods "Super Ready/ Fragmente"

Veteran French industrial act, The Young Gods, have
never been known to toe the line of the music industry
nor pander to the industrial niche crowd. "Super
Ready/ Fragmente" is no exception. A large percentage
of the vocals are French, and sung without distortion.
The music is loop-based slightly amped industrial
rock. Grungy guitars drive songs over funky chill-out
basslines, sinister dub beats, and pulsing sweeps.
The psychedelic jam-out of "The Color Code" smacks of
the Revolting Cocks strained through a filter operated
by the Chemical Brothers while anthem tracks like
"Everywhere," and "Un Point C'est Tout" remind one of
Nine Inch Nails sans the emo vocals.

While lite when compared to the thrash of bands like
Ministry and Rammstein, the retro electro-rock of The
Young Gods still kick up enough dust to get your head
banging on a few numbers.

If you miss the 90s, pick this one up.
